About the Workshop

This is an open-level workshop — everyone is welcome, no matter your experience. That said, the majority of our community is made up of professional dancers, so be prepared for a physical and emotional challenge through movement. But don’t worry — your well-being and enjoyment are always top priorities.

This workshop is rooted in Marco’s movement philosophy, Raw Expression — a practice that redefines the meaning of beauty by delving into what is raw, imperfect, and unapologetically ugly.

Raw Expression is deeply influenced by Marco’s childhood in Vega-Bellaca, a small village in Cuba with no cars or paved streets. He grew up immersed in nature — climbing trees, running barefoot, playing with animals — surrounded by people who felt like characters from a storybook. That connection to nature and to self is now at the heart of Raw Expression.

This practice embraces unfiltered authenticity. Each movement reflects what’s truly happening in the body — no filters, no expectations — allowing expression to flow straight from the soul.
